Shane V. Mullen
Shane Mullen has practised in Texas for 23 years and runs Mullen & Mullen in Dallas with his father. The State Bar of Texas lists him as eligible to practise with no public disciplinary history in Texas.
A small coincidence worth noting, since we list both: Mullen and R. James Amaro in Houston were licensed on the same day — 6 November 2002. Our two Texas lawyers are the same admission class.

Where his own record disagrees with itself
On Amaro's profile we made a point about the Texas register: the line "Other States: None Reported By Attorney" is not a check anybody ran, it's the lawyer's own statement, and the State Bar says so on the page.
Mullen's listing demonstrates it exactly.
He is, on his own account, admitted in Missouri since 2015. His Texas Bar profile reports no other states.
This is almost certainly nothing. The likeliest explanation is that he joined the Missouri bar in 2015 and never went back to update a self-service field on a Texas profile — which is what most lawyers do, because nothing prompts them to. We're not suggesting anything was concealed.
But it settles the methodological point. A field labelled "reported by lawyer" is a claim, not a record, and it can be out of date without anyone noticing — including the lawyer. Missouri's register has its own disciplinary history, and we haven't checked it. One of his two state registers is clean; the other is unopened.
Background
Mullen was raised by a personal injury lawyer and says he knew he wanted the job by the third grade; he went into practice with his father, which is where "Mullen & Mullen" comes from.Reported The firm's registered name with the State Bar is Law Office of Regis Mullen Inc — the trading name and the registered entity differ, which is ordinary and worth knowing if you go looking for it.Verified
He holds a BA in political science from the University of Denver and a JD from South Texas College of Law.Reported He reports recognition as a Texas Super Lawyer for three consecutive years, and lifetime membership of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums — a body whose entry requirement is having achieved a settlement or verdict above the relevant threshold.Reported
Two small things his bio has drifted on: it describes "21 years of experience" (the register makes it 23) and gives his JD as 2001 (the register says May 2002). Firm bios go stale; this is what it looks like.
Results
Mullen's firm publishes the most checkable results disclosure of anyone we list. Most firms give you a total with no source. This gives case names, and in one instance a cause number:Reported
We still tag these as reported, because we haven't pulled the court records. But there's a real difference between a firm that says "millions recovered" and a firm that hands you a cause number you could look up. The second one is standing behind it. That's worth crediting even before anyone checks.
Past results don't predict what happens in your case, and every case turns on its own facts.
Fees
The firm advertises a discounted 29% attorney fee.Reported For context, personal injury contingency fees in Texas commonly run from a third pre-suit up to 40% if a case goes to litigation, so 29% is below the usual range. His State Bar profile records no fee options at all, which is another self-reported field left blank.
We're not in a position to tell you what that covers — whether case expenses are separate, or whether the rate changes if the case is filed. Ask. It's exactly the kind of thing to pin down in the first conversation.
Practice
His registered practice areas are insurance and personal injury litigation, with a firm size of 2 to 5.Verified The published results are concentrated in motor vehicle accidents, which is the relevant category here.
Rideshare is not a stated speciality. That's seven of the ten firms we've now bar-checked. The pattern is settled: most attorneys who surface in rideshare searches run general injury practices. Ask how often they handle the driver-status question before you sign.
